1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of FineFrontend, including our website, practice workspace, learning materials, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. In that case, “you” includes that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement where you live. If you are not old enough to do so, you may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Some features require an account provided through our authentication partner, Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
3. The Service and educational content
FineFrontend provides educational frontend challenges, interview questions, multiple-choice questions, code practice tools, and related learning content. The Service is for learning and practice only. It is not career, employment, legal, security, or professional advice.
We do not guarantee that use of the Service will result in a particular interview outcome, job offer, level of skill, or production-ready solution. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing code before using it outside the Service.
4. Your content
“Your Content” means code, comments, feedback, and other material you submit to the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant FineFrontend a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process Your Content only as needed to operate, maintain, protect, and improve the Service.
You are responsible for Your Content. Do not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise violates another person's rights. Do not include confidential information, access credentials, personal data you do not have permission to share, or malicious code in submissions or comments.
5. Community features
Comments and other community-facing material may be visible to other users. Keep discussions respectful and relevant. We may remove, restrict, or moderate content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, creates risk for users or the Service, or is otherwise inappropriate. This does not create an obligation for us to monitor all content.
6. Acceptable use
You may not, and may not help anyone else to:
- access the Service or another user's account without authorization;
- interfere with, disrupt, probe, scan, or test the security of the Service;
- circumvent access controls, rate limits, or technical restrictions;
- use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful or harmful content;
- copy, scrape, reproduce, sell, sublicense, or exploit Service content except as permitted by law or these Terms;
- use the Service in a way that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights; or
- misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the source of content.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, original learning materials, and other content made available by FineFrontend, is owned by FineFrontend or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended educational purpose.
This license does not give you ownership of the Service or permission to use FineFrontend's name, logo, or materials outside the Service without prior written permission.
8. Third-party services and links
The Service uses third-party services, including Clerk for authentication, and may link to external resources. Those services and websites are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
9. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or product development. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or create risk or legal exposure for the Service or others.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the Service or by another reasonable method before it takes effect where required by law. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINEFRONTEND DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINEFRONTEND AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINEFRONTEND'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FINEFRONTEND FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to FineFrontend's operation and your use of the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where local law gives you mandatory rights or requires a different forum, those rights and requirements apply. Before bringing a formal claim, please contact us and try to resolve the issue informally.
