4. Legal bases where applicable
Where a privacy law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide the Service and fulfill our contract with you; to pursue legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and enforcing the Service; to comply with legal obligations; or with your consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing, without affecting prior processing.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account and practice history, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect the Service. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose. You may delete supported items, such as individual code snapshots or dashboard progress categories, through the Service. You may also request account or data deletion as described below, subject to legal and operational limits.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep account credentials confidential and do not place passwords, API keys, or other secrets in code submissions or comments.
9. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. These rights are not absolute and may be subject to applicable-law exceptions.
To make a request, use the contact method below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights that apply to you.

The Service and our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use safeguards designed to support lawful cross-border transfers of personal information.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children who are not legally permitted to use it without parental or guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or applicable law changes. We will post the revised policy and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
